Jessi Funk

Jessie Funk, who was born and raised in Provo, Utah, has shared her inspiring message and love of music with thousands of people from across the United States and even into Europe, Canada, and Africa. She has released five solo albums, including “Dance in the Rain” – her first country CD. She has toured 36 states with the Broadway musical “Footloose,” as a principal dancer and singer, she has performed for former Vice-President Dick Cheney, as an opening act for Donny Osmond, and she has toured with Broadway sensation Maureen McGovern. She has also been hired for hundreds of recording sessions as a studio vocalist, including songs heard on TV’s “The Biggest Loser.”

Jessie has published four books entitled, “Calling All Angels,” “The Boredom Box,” “Forget the Chicken Soup, Where’s the Chocolate?” and “Emergency Preparedness for Kids.” She has also been a professional speaker for seven years, teaching and inspiring through her message of gratitude, celebrating life, and defining your passions and purpose.

One of Jessie’s true passions is empowering women and teenage girls to celebrate ladyhood and embrace their radiance. She is so passionate about this cause that she has started an organization called “The Ivy Foundation,” whose sole purpose is to provide workshops, life coaching, and resources to help ladies of all ages discover their limitless potential.

Jessie’s favorite role in life is that of mother to three adorable kids and wife to hit songwriter/producer, Jim Funk.

Jessi grew up in Provo, Utah, and now resides in Bountiful, Utah, with her husband Jim, where they work together operating Funk’s Place, music production and recording studio.

Davis 40s/50s Dinner Group

The 40’s/50’s Singles Dinner Group began July 2007. Most people are in their 40’s or 50’s (age). It is organized by Kathy Porter. We meet on the first Friday of every month unless it is July 4th or New Year weekend. When you RSVP I will email the address of the restaurant we will be attending (in Davis County).

We are not sponsored by a ward or stake but LDS standards apply (no alcohol). Join us! RSVP by Email to Kathy Porter.

FAQs:

1. Why is it called “40s/50s Dinner Group”? I have been to a lot of activities over the past few years. In this region, activities seem to attract a 30s age crowd or a “Senior” crowd. I thought it would be nice to have an activity for the 40s/50s crowd. However, I never turn anyone away because of their age.

2. How do you choose the restaurants? I choose the ones in Davis County that will take reservations and can seat a group of 15 or more.

Concerts in the Park

Listen to beautiful music in beautiful surroundings. Make it a point to attend the free concerts in the Brigham Young Historic Park on summer evenings. June and July concerts begin at 8:00 P.M. August concerts begin at 7:30 P.M. (visit the Upcoming Events tab at link below for the complete summer schedule). You can also enjoy informative garden talks throughout the summer.

The park is located at the southeast corner of State Street and North Temple (Second Avenue). Seating is available, but visitors can also bring blankets or their own lawn chairs.

Celebrate this New Year’s Eve with the Multi-stake Singles in Pleasant Grove, Utah! There will be dancing, noise makers and a balloon drop at midnight!

Dinner Served 7:30-8:15
Dancing  8:30-12:30
Dressy Sunday Best is encouraged.

LDS standards and dress apply. Dresses must be knee length or longer. Single adults 31+ only. Divorces must be final.

Relief Society Celebration

Join us for this special event as we celebrate the Relief Society. You will be treated to historic interpreters in pioneer dress that will relate stories of early Relief Society members.

Space is limited and reservations are required so call 801-924-7545 early as this is one that will definitely sell out!
