Traveling around using Google Street Maps is always an interesting experience, and you don’t even need a car, plane, taxi, lodging, or fuel. Not only can you look around in places you have never been before and possibly never will be, but you never know what you will come across. From what appears to be UFO sightings to ghostly personages lurking in alleyways, bikini-clad girls, and places you may never dare drive on your own. It’s always a fun way to pass some time and discover something new!
Welcome spring this April through May and enjoy all the colors of the rainbow spread throughout nearly 100 different varieties of tulips during the annual Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival. Featuring 250,000 tulips spread throughout the 55-acre Thanksgiving Point Gardens, the Tulip Festival is an awe-inspiring sight that is redesigned each year to create a new display.
On Fridays and Saturdays, the Tulip Festival includes spectacular tulips, music, vendors, and food. Garden tours and demonstrations run every day. Though hundreds of volunteers and staff work behind the scenes to create the festival, make no mistake about it: Mother Nature is in charge of the show.
