Stacey Board will be playing the Downtown Farmers Market!
Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Stacey Board was born in Decatur, AL. She began singing as a small child, and is mostly self-taught, though she did take some voice lessons and a little classical guitar training. Board wrote her first song when she was a teenager. Around that same time, when she was about 16, a dare to sing on the sidewalk outside of a local radio station — which she jokingly counts as her debut public appearance — landed her a membership in her first band.

Cotton Jones with Oh My God

Cumberland, Maryland-based band, The Cotton Jones Basket Ride is an indie folk-pop band currently signed to Suicide Squeeze Records. The band started as a side project for Michael Nau, lead singer and creator of Page France, and has since become a full-time project, releasing a series of EPs and embarking on its first large scale tour.
Biology says: That people who live at high altitudes must develop physiological adaptations to the decreased amount of oxygen available in order to maintain homeostasis. The list of adaptations includes a heart that is proportionally larger thanthat of a person living at sealevel. Michael Nau and Whitney McGraw have hearts huge, hearts full of music that mixes elements of soul, rock and gospel into a gauzy cocoon of small town sound.

Misty River awakened to her musical calling in 2008. After having a near death exsperence. Misty has set her intendtion on sharing the essence of love and peace that she experienced on the other side with the world. Her music is not just music. It’s a message. And her lyric’s are not just words. They’re a sermon to music. That touches the soul of the listener with a deep feeling of global awareness and an intense desire to bring about change. Misty is known for her angelic voice and a stage presence that has brought many to tears. She is open, honest and real about the change she wants to make on this planet. And is never wavering in her ablity to describe that change in a way that will shake your soul.

Horse Feathers Band
The Portland, OR, folk duo Horse Feathers consist of singer/songwriter Justin Ringle (acoustic guitar, vocals, percussion) and multi-instrumentalist Peter Broderick (violin, banjo, mandolin, cello, viola, piano, saw, percussion, vocals). Ringle grew up in Idaho and played in several short-lived indie rock bands during his teenage years, but moved to Portland in 2004, where he met Broderick, who was already a member of the more established Portland band Norfolk & Western. They spent much of 2005 writing songs and honing their live performances at various Portland open-mike nights. Influenced by both the stark folk music of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska and the post-classical work of Scandinavian composer Max Richter, the duo entered the studio in February 2006 to record its debut album, Words Are Dead , 11 chamber-folk tracks featuring Ringle’s high, reedy vocals and enigmatic lyrics and Broderick’s baroque filigree. Words Are Dead was released on Lucky Madison Records in September 2006. The band inked a deal with the Kill Rock Stars label the following year, releasing House with No Home in 2008. – All Music Guide

The Cotton Jones Basket Ride
The music of Cotton Jones speaks of transition: the passage from one form, state of mind, style or place to another. Songs become doorways to the past or windows that open on some unnamed future, where innocence can still exist and perfection is thrown to the wind.
The Glowstream is a place centered between North and South Cumberland. It’s not really called the Glowstream – just a stream that rolls to a dead end by the train tracks downtown. A place to sit, undisturbed in the cool shade, and see the interstate bend around glowing steeples, as cars and trucks break their speed – it’s beautiful – how the city materializes, an oasis, after driving many miles through the mountains along I-68 – to this spot, where it’s possible to witness all the paces change.
“Tall Hours in the Glowstream,'” is the title of their new album. Some of the songs that made the final cut were tracked in northern States, while the majority were recorded and mixed in Winterville, Georgia, as a revolving cast of players, thinkers, and singers were invited to hang in the band’s living-room studio. The resulting sounds are both rich and charmingly lo-fi, full of vivid imagery and more gorgeous vocal harmony. Hard-asking tracks like “Somehow To Keep It Going” and “More Songs For Margaret” prove the promise in this music, the feeling of something better to come if only you can hold tight a little longer…”Always the mornings keep coming…” And what a beautiful thing that is…

The Wayne Hoskins Band
Winners of the 2009 Posty for “Best Utah Rock Band”, The Wayne Hoskins Band has spent the last two years focused on writing and recording their music, as well as performing at featured venues around the Western United States.
Formed in 2008, band members Dustin, Dave, Mike, Carl and Eric combine to create music from beautifully powerful rock choruses in songs like “Something Better” to epic ballads like “I’ll Be Right Here”…the band has captured the attention of a large fanbase of passionate music lovers and classic rock enthusiasts. Dustin’s vocals and lyrics give listeners a window into themselves and shed light on music and emotion. Conceptually simple, the greatest element of The Wayne’s efforts is the chemistry of the musicians.
The Wayne’s resume includes live performances at THE SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL, two invitations to the exclusive Acoustic All Stars Festival in Park City, Utah, the Promenade Music Festival in Boise, Idaho and the Project Green River Music Festival. The Wayne was also a featured artist at the Utah State Fair.
Most recently, The Wayne Hoskins Band performed with SAFETYSUIT, as seen on VH1’s Top 20 Countdown, to a crowd of over 1,000+ excited fans. One fan had this to say about the show: “The Wayne Hoskins Band was AMAZING! I really enjoyed their music!” (–Ashlee from Provo, Utah)
Influenced by The Frames, Justin Currie and Todd Thibaud, The Wayne falls into a cross-genre; compared to Counting Crows, Ray LaMontagne, The Fray, Lifehouse and Daughtry, the best way to describe The Wayne might simply be – classically good.
The EP “Breaking Here” will be released NOVEMBER 13th under the ROCKFISH RECORD COMPANY label; with a SOLD OUT party to kickoff the music!
Fans are already looking forward to The Wayne’s FULL-LENGTH STUDIO ALBUM, set to release in SPRING of 2011.
