Over the years, the group has had the privilege of sharing the stage with such notable acts as the Beach Boys, Jay Leno, Chicago, They Might Be Giants, the Temptations, Badfinger, America, Glen Campbell, the Mandrells, the Shirelles, and the Buckinghams. Among many other highlights are their performance at the Nokia Sugarbowl in New Orleans for a national TV audience, being the first act to ever perform at the 20,000-seat USANA amphitheater in Salt Lake City, Utah, and 21 performances at the Shanghai Music Festival in China. Beatlemania is truly alive and well on mainland China!

Miner’s Day Celebration in City Park will feature great live music from Brooklyn, NY’s The Pimps Of Joytime and Special Guests JEBU:

The Pimps of Joytime are the ultimate desert island band. PJT’s can turn a lifetime in isolation into a party that never ends. This multi-ethnic group hits all the marks and crosses all the barriers, bridging the gap between underground funk, soul, pop, dance, afrobeat and latin, filling every song with soulful harmonies and great vibes.

Brian J is the band’s ringmaster. He started PJT’s in Brooklyn back in 2005, where they cut their teeth while playing clubs in Williamsburg and the East Village. On stage, he’s the lead singer and guitarist, and in the studio, he’s the funkiest one-man-band this side of Minneapolis.

Mixing samples and dance beats with tasty live musicianship and sweet vocal harmonies, The Pimps of Joytime have evolved into the current five-piece that gets crowds on their feet from London to New York to San Francisco. Somehow, PJT’s found a way to put a modern twist on a retro sound, creating dirty, ass-shakin’ grooves like no one else out there!

Jackson Browne

Since his acclaimed 1972 self-titled debut album, Jackson Browne has defined a genre of songwriting and performing that is charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. Two of his albums, Late For the Sky and The Pretender, are on Rolling Stone‘s list of the ‘500 Greatest Albums of All Time.’ He’s been recognized with inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2004) and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame (2007), with recent humanitarian honors including the John Steinbeck Award and the Chapin-World Hunger Year Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award. In January of this year, Browne was part of the celebrations surrounding the inauguration of President Barack Obama, performing at the Health for All Blue Diamond Ball at the Smithsonian Institution’s Natural History Museum.

The new convenient location offers plenty of camping, deluxe affordable cabin rentals, and a great concert area.
