High Country Adventure Historic Train Ride, Guided Rafting & Lunch Vivian Park, Provo Canyon
The Tube ‘n Train Adventure departs from the Heber Valley Railroad Depot, travels to the Soldier Hollow Platform, then returns to the Heber Valley Railroad Depot after an exciting, tow lift-served snow tubing session.
Get out and experience winter fun combining a train ride and snow tubing on a 1,000-foot groomed hill with a tow lift service. Enjoy approx. 90 minutes of snow tubing before returning on a relaxing train ride to Heber. Note: the 3:00 pm departure returns by bus.
Fare includes a train ride, snow tube, tow lift pass, and shuttle transfer. Food options are limited at tubing hill. Order boxed lunch with advance reservation.
Experience Heber Valley’s winter wonderland as you travel over the river and through the fields…first by train, then by sleigh! Along the way, you’ll stop for a journey by horse drawn sleighs or wagons (dependent on snow conditions) through the beautiful country setting, to a ranch shelter. There, you’ll delight to tales told by an authentic cowboy poet and enjoy sweet treats and hot beverages around the old-time pot-bellied stove. Then, climb aboard again and return to the Heber Depot.
The train departs from the Heber Valley Railroad Depot and travels toward Midway for a beautiful view of the Deer Creek Reservoir and Heber Valley. Along the route, you’ll stop for an old-fashioned group sleigh ride through snow-covered fields, then return to the Heber Valley Railroad Depot in the warmth of the train. Fare includes approximately 30-minute, round-trip train ride, group sleigh/wagon ride, refreshments and entertainment.
Dress warmly for the sleigh ride and make sure to bring your camera…you just might see deer and elk along the way! Perfect for all ages, families, friends and groups (can comfortably accommodate up to 60 passengers, larger groups also welcome). Advance reservations are required 24-hours in advance. No outside food or beverage is allowed.
Basic Snowshoeing Class at Hailstone. Join the park naturalist from 10 a.m. to noon and learn the benefits of snowshoeing as a lifelong physical activity. Snowshoeing can contribute to increased cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and muscle endurance. Bring snowshoes or borrow a pair from the park. Pre‑registration is required. Day‑use fee is $10 per vehicle with up to eight people or free to Utah State Parks Pass holders. Hailstone is located at exit 8 off hwy 40 on the west side of Jordanelle State Park.
Summer Concert Series is on the front lawn every Saturday night throughout the summer. Concerts are FREE and begin at 7:00 PM. Dinner on the Lawn is available before the concerts and is served from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
Saddle up for a great summertime activity that combines a train ride with horseback riding.
Relish the winding trails and scenic views of Soldier Hollow, led by professional guides. Return to the lodge for a delicious boxed lunch, then climb aboard the train and head back to the Heber Depot (3:00 pm departure returns by shuttle).
Appropriate for riders 8 years and older. Includes guide gratuity.
Wagon and buggy rides are available for families with children under the age of 8, contact the Ticket Office for additional information.

Join the Homestead Resort around a warm campfire each Friday evening for stories and fun.
Campfires are scheduled for 8:30 PM, weather permitting. For exact time and details check with the front desk prior to the scheduled time for an update.
Everyone is welcome to attend the St. Lawrence’s Fall Festival on Saturday the 19th. There will be fun for everyone including a Bake Sale, Farmer’s Market, Pony Rides, Bounce House, Games, used book sale, Food, Music, and a Beer Garden.
