People’s Market‘s mission is to promote urban agriculture, community pride, diversity, and entrepreneurship on the west side of Salt Lake City.

There are educational and community opportunities through kids’ art activities, cooking demonstrations, and information on health and nutrition resources. Market vendors accept cash, debit, credit, and EBT (Horizon Cards).

People’s Market Produce Program encourages gardeners to bring their harvest to market for just $5. They set up the tables, you share in the bounty!

Utah Shakespeare Festival

Southern State University

The Utah Shakespearian Festival presents life-affirming classic and contemporary plays in repertory, with Shakespeare as the cornerstone. These plays are enhanced by interactive experiences which entertain, enrich, and educate.

The Summer Festival offers free nightly Green shows featuring music, song, and tales on two outdoor stages; the New American Playwrights Project, showcasing the work of new playwrights; free literary seminars, Tuesday–Sunday, discussing the season’s plays; bi-weekly props, actor, and costume seminars; backstage tours; and play orientations before all shows.

The Fall Festival offers free literary seminars, Wednesday–Sunday, discussing the season’s shows; free actor seminars every Wednesday and Friday; free props seminars every Thursday and Saturday; intimate and detailed backstage tours Thursdays and Saturdays; and play orientations before all shows.

We take pride in being Utah’s only family friendly haunted attraction.  This annual event is created and performed for cub scout/boy scout aged groups.  It is also popular for girl scout and Activity Day groups.  We do not allow graphic violence, foul language, or demonic beings.  But, it will be intensely fun and a bit scary.
