The Capitol Theatre is one of Salt Lake County’s most beloved buildings. A landmark in downtown Salt Lake since 1913, a newspaper reporter at the time described the building as “rich and restful, without vulgar or gaudy display.” Vaudevillians, silent movies, and “talkies,” were the mainstay in the theatre for years.
The Utah Museum of Fine Arts is Utah’s primary cultural resource for global visual arts. It is unique in its dual role as a university and state art museum. It is Utah’s only visual arts institution that collects, exhibits, interprets, and preserves a comprehensive collection of original art objects.
Thanks to the generous patrons, local and national foundations, the University community, and the citizens of the State of Utah, the UMFA’s collection now encompasses 5,000 years of artistic creativity. Since the mid-1900s, when the collection was around 800 objects, it has grown to over 17,000 art objects.

The Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center is Salt Lake County’s most versatile performance venue. With diverse terrain for beginner ease to challenging expert runs, Snowbasin offers three progressive terrain parks and 26km of groomed Nordic trails. With 3,000 skiable acres and 3,000 vertical feet, Snowbasin is best known for wide-open bowls, graded runs, manicured groomers, powder stashes days after a storm, and rarely a lift line.
Loveland Living Planet Aquarium is home to more than 4,000 animals representing 650 species, showcasing ecosystems from around the planet including kelp forests, coral reefs, the deep ocean, Antarctic waters, Asian cloud forests, South American rain forests, and the waterways of our home state of Utah and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).
