This year, as revelers reach a fevered pitch at crowded New Year’s parties, Harmon’s set offs fireworks in their own kitchen by creating and feasting on an oh-so-decadent menu.
SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES Making a vinaigrette; preparing gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches; grilling shrimp and testing for doneness; searing and roasting beef tenderloin; testing beef for doneness; resting and carving beef; making a classical emulsion sauce; preparing a decadent vegetable dish that will become a family favorite; making the ultimate chocolate dessert; caramelizing sugar with a blow torch.

Gallivan Plaza transforms into an outdoor public ice skating from mid-November through February, offering hockey and figure skates for rent with an admissions fee, so everyone can enjoy gliding on the ice! You can also warm up with hot cocoa and enjoy other sweet and savory treats at the concessions booth.

Tubing Hill
Soldier Hollow in Wasatch Mountain State Park near Midway offers the longest tubing lanes in Utah. The hill has lengthy 1,200-foot sliding lanes with lift service for towing people up the hill for tubing day or night under the lights, and a sound system keeps the airwaves full of enjoyable tunes.
In addition to the longest tubing lanes and beautifully manicured cross-country ski trails, Soldier Hollow hosts a variety of activities throughout the fall, spring, and summer. Athletes of world-class ability and weekend recreationists enjoy the facility year-round.
