The American West Heritage Center sits at the foot of the majestic Wellsville Mountains on U. S. Highway 89/91 in Utah’s magnificent Cache Valley, the most scenic route to Jackson Hole, WY, and Yellowstone National Park just 70 miles north of Salt Lake City. 

A non-profit living history museum located in Wellsville, UT. The AWHC covers 1820-1920 using four Historic Sites: A Shoshone Encampment, a Mountain Man Encampment, Pioneer Settlement, and 1917 Jensen Historic Farm, and an interpretation of the impact the Railroad had in Cache Valley using a train visitors can ride. Festivals, such as Baby Animal Days, and Special Events, such as our Corn Mazes too.

Includes the Jensen Historical Farm, an authentic 1917 farm where visitors can learn about farming in the early 20th century; and the Pioneer Era Area (1845-70), which describes homesteading and life in a dugout or log cabin. There are also depictions of life in American Indian villages and the military. Allow 2 hours. The seasonal festivals (special fees apply), held several times a year, feature arts and crafts demonstrations, Western re-enactments, competitions, music, and food.

Every August and September, the award-winning Moab Music Festival brings world-class musicians to stunning red rock venues around Moab, Utah, for a feast of chamber music, jazz, and traditional music concerts. Soldier Hollow Classic

This year’s Soldier Hollow Classic’s I.F.A. Country Festival Dog Show offers an assortment of crafts, activities, and demonstrations with dozens of top artisans from throughout the west displaying a wide array of handmade products. Demonstrations will include weaving, spinning, sheep shearing, and pottery making. Navajo Rug Show, sponsored by Adopt-a-Native Elder, features finely woven traditional Navajo textiles and demonstrations by Navajo artisans. Families will also enjoy various animal demonstrations and activities, including duck herding, the Ultimate Canines Flying Dog Show, Wild Wonders Animal Show, and bagpipe performances by the Salt Lake Scots! The Country Festival also features great food and traditional Celtic music.

Telluride Blues & Brews Festival

Telluride Blues Festival, Colorado, Music, Outdoors, Rock, Acoustic, Pop, CountryOne of the most scenic music festivals in the country, the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival takes place every September in Telluride, Colorado, a world-famous resort town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

The festival is a three day celebration of music and microbrews, held in Telluride Town Park , an outdoor music venue with breathtaking mountain peaks for a backdrop.

By day, experience live blues, rock, funk, gospel, and soul, the best micro brews from over 50 micro breweries during Saturday’s Grand Tasting, a wide variety of food and craft vendors, children’s activities, and more – all on the festival grounds. By night, follow the festival as it flows into the town of Telluride and Mountain Village, with late night juke joints and after-hours jams.
